We want every show to be safe, welcoming and fun for fans, guests, exhibitors and staff. These policies are standard across the convention industry and are enforced by our team and venue security.
01
Right To Refuse Admission
The Nostalgia Con reserves the right to refuse admission to, or remove from the show, any person at our sole discretion, with or without cause. This includes anyone who breaks these policies, the venue's rules or the law, or whose behavior puts other attendees, guests, exhibitors or staff at risk. Anyone refused entry or removed is not entitled to a refund and may be barred from future shows.
02
Badges & Wristbands
Your badge or wristband is your ticket. Wear it where it can be seen the entire time you are inside the venue. Badges remain the property of The Nostalgia Con and must be handed over if a staff member asks for them.
Badges are non-transferable. They cannot be sold, lent, shared or given away. Staff and security may ask for a photo ID that matches the name on the order and may run random checks throughout the show. Counterfeit, altered or shared badges are confiscated and the holder is removed. Lost or stolen badges are not replaced.
03
Re-Entry
You may leave and come back on any day your badge covers. Scan out on your way out and scan back in on your return so your badge stays valid. Single-day badges are only valid on the day purchased.
04
Children & Family Day
Children 6 and under are free every day of the show. Children 12 and under are free on the final day of every show, Family Day. All minors must be accompanied by a ticketed adult at all times, and that adult is responsible for the conduct and safety of the minors in their care. Some panels and programming may carry an age advisory.
05
Tickets, Refunds & Cancellations
All sales are final. Admission, photo ops and autographs are non-refundable and non-exchangeable except where the law requires otherwise.
Guest appearances are subject to professional obligations and may change without notice. A guest cancellation or schedule change does not entitle you to a refund of admission. Photo ops and autographs bought in advance for a guest who cancels are refunded.
Only tickets bought through our official Tixr page are honored. Tickets from resellers or third parties may be invalid and will not be replaced. If we cancel or postpone a show, we will contact ticket holders directly with their options.
06
Code Of Conduct
Treat everyone at the show with respect. Harassment of any kind is not tolerated. That includes offensive comments or behavior related to sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, body size, race, age or religion, as well as stalking, intimidation, unwelcome physical contact, unwanted photography or recording, and disrupting panels or other programming.
Cosplay is not consent. Ask before you photograph or touch anyone, and accept no as an answer. If you experience or witness harassment, tell any staff member, security officer or the information desk right away. Anyone who violates this policy will be removed without refund and may be banned from future shows.
07
Costumes, Props & Weapons
All props are inspected at the entrance and must be peace-bonded by our staff. Props that fail inspection may be refused or held until you leave. Staff decisions are final.
Not allowed under any circumstances: functional firearms of any kind, including airsoft, BB, paintball, pellet and cap guns; realistic replica firearms that could be mistaken for the real thing; live steel, sharpened or metal-bladed weapons; projectile weapons, including bows with arrows; and fireworks, explosives or flammable items. Props taller than six feet, or that could be confused for a real weapon, need staff clearance before entering the hall.
Costumes must include footwear and meet public decency standards. Face coverings and masks must be removed if staff ask to verify your identity. Costumes that impersonate law enforcement or emergency services in a way that could mislead the public are not permitted.
08
Security & Bag Checks
All bags, packages and containers are subject to search at the entrance and anywhere inside the venue. Prohibited items include outside alcohol, illegal substances, drones, laser pointers, glass containers, skateboards and scooters, pets other than service animals, and flyers, signs or banners not approved by show management. Anyone who refuses a search will be refused entry.
09
Photography & Recording
By entering the show you consent to being photographed, filmed and recorded by The Nostalgia Con and its partners, and to the use of those images for promotion in any media without compensation.
Personal, non-commercial photography is welcome in public areas of the show. Always ask before photographing another attendee. Photography and video of guests at their autograph tables and inside photo-op booths is not permitted unless the guest allows it. No flash during panels, and panels may not be recorded for commercial use. Professional shoots, video crews and commercial recording require press credentials or written permission from show management.
10
Guest Interactions, Photo Ops & Autographs
Photo ops and autographs are priced per guest and sold separately from admission. Arrive on time for your scheduled photo op; missed sessions cannot be rescheduled. Lines are managed by our staff and guests may limit items, poses or props at their discretion. Be respectful of the guest and the people around you. Anyone who is disruptive at a guest table or photo-op booth will be removed.
11
Alcohol, Smoking & Substances
Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated areas outside the venue. Outside alcohol is not allowed. Where the venue serves alcohol, it is sold only to guests 21 and over with valid ID. Visibly intoxicated attendees will be refused entry or removed.
12
Accessibility & Service Animals
Our venues are accessible and we offer ADA add-ons for badges that include line assistance and companion access. Trained service animals are welcome and must be under your control at all times. Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted inside the show. If you need something specific, email us before the show and we will sort it out.
13
Selling, Solicitation & Promotion
Selling, trading or soliciting on the show floor requires a signed exhibitor or artist alley contract. Handing out flyers, stickers or promotional material, and hosting unauthorized signings or sales, is not permitted anywhere on the premises.
14
Safety, Venue Rules & Lost Property
Follow the instructions of show staff, venue security and emergency personnel at all times. Each venue's own rules and local law apply in addition to these policies. Report accidents, injuries or safety concerns to the nearest staff member immediately. The Nostalgia Con is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property. Lost and found is at the information desk.
15
Changes To These Policies
We may update these policies at any time. The version published on this page is the one in effect at each show. If you have a question that is not covered here, contact us before the show.
Last updated October 2026. These policies apply at every Nostalgia Con show and work alongside each venue's own rules and local law.
