Important Houston Cosplay Contest Update

After reviewing the current participation and number of signups(single digits), we’ve made the decision to postpone our cosplay contest and bring it back at our next Houston show.

Since this is our first time hosting a cosplay contest, we want to make sure we do it the right way and create an experience that feels worthwhile for the cosplay community, our judges, and everyone who puts time and effort into participating. Rather than move forward with a smaller turnout than we had hoped for, we feel it’s best to give the next contest a longer signup period and more time for everyone to plan.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to participating this weekend.

If you already signed up for the cosplay contest OR applied to be one of our judges, we will provide you with a FREE ticket to either this Houston show or our next Houston event as a thank-you for your support and understanding. We’ll be reaching out with additional details.

We truly appreciate everyone who showed interest in helping us launch this new part of The Nostalgia Con. We’ve learned a lot through this first round, and our goal is to come back with an even better, properly planned cosplay contest for Houston next time.

Thank you for understanding, and we’re excited to continue building something great for the cosplay community!
